This group of fun-raisers has been meeting monthly (to be truthful, in the winter months we meet over dinner and drinks, so it’s not all bad. In the summer it is harder, but we make it. Now we meet weekly until the event.) Our group goal is to make a fun fall festival for the community. This year on October 12th for one magical evening we shut down Central Avenue with a petting zoo, bounce houses, street dance, crazy dancing witches, a hot dog eating contest, a Creepy Critter Pet Parade, hay ride, Trunk or Treat, live music, Fudge Crawl, drinks, and so much more. The Visitors Bureau is throwing in two Friday fireworks (Oct. 4th and 11th) as a bonus. Our Go With The Glo 5K (Registration and details: nmyum.jokerzwildcomedyclub.com) on October 5th coincides with popular annual event #FortFright to make the most fun weekend ever! This is #FallIntoMackinaw, the awesome heart and soul going into our planning effort. We are a pretty diverse group of business owners, board members, ambassadors,and staff with common interests of loving where we live and having fun. Join us October 5th for our Go With the Glo 5K, or October 12th for our “Monster Mash Street Bash!” on Central Avenue. We are working hard to put the Fall Into Mackinaw for 2019! #FallIntoMackinaw

Our first Chamber softball tournament is in the bo Our first Chamber softball tournament is in the books- so much fun at the 36th Annual “Coachie Classic” Donald Thompson Co-Ed Tournament! 16 teams travel from around the state to participate in this beloved annual event- this was the Chamber of Commerce’s first year to host. The Village of Mackinaw City has kept this tournament going strong for all of those years, with Dave Paquet, “Coachie,” running the show- this year being no exception. Dave was there from start to finish and put many hours into teaching us how to organize a tournament; it is a volunteer intensive event to organize.
